About the Business
Today we fitted a beautiful Composite Door. Our customer wanted their wooden door replaced for something elegant, yet practical and in keeping with the character of the house. They chose to have the door in an Oak Finish with Gold Furniture and Brass Art Clarity Glass.
Composite Doors take their name from the composite materials that make up the inside of the door. There are slight variations available, but most high quality composite doors comprise of a timber hardwood sub-frame that houses the composite material. The doors are typically hung in a uPVC steel reinforced frame. Composite doors are made up from a variety of materials, including PVC, wood, insulating foam and GRP (glass reinforced plastic). The combination of materials result in a door that is very strong and secure. Composite back and front doors have a high resistance to weathering and will not react to seasonal changes like a singular material door.
